Just Received The Montec Tekan Expandables!!
Well after waiting about a month or so I finally received my first pack of the Montec Tekan expandable broadheads. These broadheads are simply the best engineered expandables that I have ever seen, and I think I have shot them all in quest of the perfect expandable. These expandables have a fixed 3/4 inch cut on impact head with two 1 5/16" expandable blades that on impact slide back and open. This method of blade deployment is similar to the Rocky Mountain Snyper but requires less energy to deploy the blades. I personally feel that this expandable really closes the gap between expandable and fixed blade broadheads. For you guy's looking for a super tough expandable that will open 100% of the time, will not jack knife on quartering shots, and requires less than 1 foot pound of energy to deploy the blades, give the "New" Montec Tekan Expandable a try!

I was wondering who would be the first to get a set. These mech have my curiosity high. Really hoping 5-shot will test them to see how they do.
How sharp are they, ie are the sharp out of the box or are they like the montec's??

Hank your post is hard to read with those caps on.
Will they shoot thru a mesh window in a blind without any hangups?
Can those blades be resharpened?
Are the blades Replacable?
What is the price on those heads?

Nice looking head. I would be interesting in giving them a whirl this season. I would also be interested in seeing an expandable with a more chisel tip styled front end in their lineup in the future.
