Default Good groups

I was just wondering what everyone's opinion is on decent groups at different yardages?
I don't shoot 3D, but would like to just to see how competetive archers do it, and maybe learn a thing or two. I have nothing to compare to as far as my shoot ability, or not other than my limited kills consisting of 3 deer, and 2 turkeys with a bow. So what is a considered a decent group at say 10, 20, 30, and 40 yards recpectively?

Thanks

Probably the reply you'll see most is the minute of angle. If your groups are w/i 1 inch for every 10 yards of distance you are shooting well

Say you shoot 6 arrows and they are in a 5-6 inch group at any given range then i would say thats pretty respectful.I do personally know guys that can have all 6 arrows touching each other at any given range as well

Touch your thumb and your middle finger making a circle, if you can fit that around your arrows out to 40 yards then you are looking alright, should be a little tighter at 20 yards.

Also I do not shoot 10 yards, I have a compound and i do not think that there is a difference in the arc of the arrow inside 20 yards. I shoot the 20 yard pin for any 3d inside 20, then again I am a rookie, curious as to what some of the vets will say about a 10 yard pin?

Just how I do it and it works fine here.

Man do I have some work to do!@#$

My groups at 40 have not been better than 3", and that's not all the time. I almost always end up with one flyer messing up the whole thing.

What I do is I start at 15yards and i have the block and a spray painted a white dot in the center of the black circles just about the size of a quarter maybe a little bigger. I take one arrow and shoot until I hit the white circle then move back to 20 then to 25 and then to 30. I would go to 35 and to 40 but I would be standing in the front of my yard shooting in to my backyard and i bet someone that would drive by would call me in.
