Are you setting it on test when you are trying to rewind it? If not, try that. I have the same camera, and mine wont automatically rewind all of the time,all I have to do is set it on test, and then push the rewind button and it works fine.

If you let your batteries run down too low this will happen also. Make sure you change the batteries before you try to rewind the film. If you replace 1 battery at a time until all 8 have been changed, you won't lose any of your settings either. Don't skimp and use cheap batteries and use Kodak film.

i have the same camera also and have experienced the same problem. if nothing gets it to rewind you can just bring it into the film developing place and they can take the camer, put it into a black film bag, and remove the film by hand without exposing it to the light.
