Default camo arrow shafts

Why do people use camo arrow shafts? I have seen people with camo shafts and then they put bright feathers or vanes on them, makes no sense to me, or is it for the little
bit of extra weight, or is it to look cool.

I'd say probably to look cool.

Well, I wouldn't say my camo arrows look cool or the bright vanes help me find them.
On the CX Hunters it is a protective layer and it adds about a .5 grain per
inch....and on of the toughest carbon I ever shot ( hit my trailer tire smacked the rim punched the nock into the shaft, inspected it cut it down
gave it to the kids). I bought some Vapors with the camo (needed a cheap shaft for something to shoot) not sure about there camop though
it looks nicer if you go for that thing but peeled the vanes off the 2 shafts on going through a 3d course.
I like the weight and the subtle gray camo on the Game tracker and a shaft that is just incredable.
I have noticed on Video shoot the cock feather glows in the black light.

A couple of things. 1. I've heard that they spine a bit stiffer, although I have not yet confirmed this. 2. It provides a smoother finish.

I personally just like the way the gold tip advantage pro hunter look in my quiver. And as for the bright vanes, Two florescent green and one floresent orange. Believe it or not the actually do blend in to the woods in the fall.

Plus they are considered fashionable at the local 3-d club

I have both the standard black and camo. The camo is just for the COOL factor.

I bought a dozen ICS Camo Hunters last year, but only because I got one heck of a deal on them....otherwise I prefer the black shafts. I don't care for Beman's camo finish as it's 'soft' and strips off when re-fletching or repairing fletchings. Of course, it might not be that bad if I didn't use Fastset and didn't have to vigorously scrape all the glue off.

I will admit that the camo shafts do look pretty cool though!
