I'm going to try my True-ball sweetspot on a doe this year I'm just not sure how it's going to work when the weather gets really cold!

There is a board member by the name of BeeS that does. I probably will this year also. I roke out the trigger release the other day and it just does not feel right anymore. I will probably go with a Zenith 3 finger. The beauty of those are that they are so small I can put 2 backups in my pocket.

I don't for the simple reason I want total control over when the arrow leaves my bow. The last thing I want is to have an arrow release prematurely before I get my pins settled and wound an animal.

I sure wouldn't suggest doing it. And why are you specifically going to try it on a doe? Would wounding a doe feel less bad then a buck or something?

Why do think that I would wound the doe?
The reason I'm going to shoot a doe is because I will get a chance at one before a buck more than likely! Also to shot a buck its going to have to be very big. And chances are it's going to be very cold before I see a decent buck!

Second with the all season tag I can shoot a doe and a buck. One of the places that I hunt the land owner want's the deer thined out and what better way to do that than shoot a doe?
If that big boy comes out early I defenetly will shoot it with my back tension. I also used it turkey hunting this year but didn't get a shot!

I have no doughts about shooting a back tension execpt for when its cold!
Plus the shot will be alot better with the back tension because you don't punch it! I got the idea of shooting this release from a pro and I just wanted to know how many guys use one!

I also have a true-ball thumb/pinky release but I don't like it nearly as much as my sweet spot. I hate a caliper!

You were the one that made the distinction of specifically using it on a doe in your original post. It gets one thinking "why".

Im with the same idea that i want total control over when my arrow leaves. I shoot my trigger release the same way i shoot my back tension anymore, so there's no real difference, other than when the time comes that i need to get a shot of quicker, i can squeeze faster on the trigger rather than have to rotate my hand faster.
