this fall will be the third season that i have used my bow. I was wondering when do you change the string. I dont shoot alot probably on the averge about 2 times a week during the summer.

Every year or every 5000 shots is what most manufacturers recommend. I've gone longer but for the price of a sting 25$-35$ it's better to be safe than sorry IMO.

Though a good string/cable system can last a decent amount of time when well maintained the local shop normally recommends changing the setup every other year at a minimum.
