Default and tuning?

I just bought a new mathews, and am currently waiting for it to come in the mail. i read what wvdeerhunter22 posted about buying a new string for his bow, here is my question. will i need to make sure and put a few rounds down range before taking it and having a peep sight and all that good stuff put on the bow?

Last I heard, Zebras were still stretching.[] Toss a couple hundred arrows through it and check specs and cam rotation. Twist when needed, not if.

My new Icon hasn't stretched yet after a couple thousand shots. I'm extremely happy with my peep rotation too. NONE! I use a fletcher tru-peep and it's right there every time.
