I shoot alums, have for years. Have a lot of friends that swear by carbons. Just never saw the need to change.

I plan on getting a dozen xx78's for hunting. But for 3d, the carbons are serving me well.

I'm shooting carbons right now. If I can keep my baseball sized group at 40 yards with my magnus stingers, I don't plan on switching any time soon.

Their accuracy with broadheads is horrible.
Speak for yourself Arthur. Aluminums are great, but I have had little trouble hunting with carbons, and no trouble shooting broadheads with carbons.

I shoot carbons for 3-D and hunt with aluminum every year. All the game
I have harvested over the past 25 years has been taken with aluminum
shafts. Why change when it works?

I still use aluminum for most all my shooting. I've got some carbons I only use for 3D and small game hunting with blunts, because that's all they're good for. Their accuracy with broadheads is horrible.

I would definitely shoot ACC's if my bank account was a little fatter.
Maybe you oughta try a good old fashioned paper tune!

"Does anyone still use aluminums?"

I was not aware that aluminum hunting shafts were in the museum.

As for all the bending and breaking; I wonder what is going on these days. I have used aluminum shafts since the first batch came out and have never had all the problems that some seem to have.

Good grief! I forgot the legal disclaimer again.

"The opinions expressed in this post are based on my personal experiences and observations. My experiences and observations are: carbons suck."
