BOWTECHS in CANADA
I was just wondering if anyone else is having a problem getting their bow in within reason.I am going on my 6th week and its still not in.My dealer called his supplier out of toronto and he said that he has a patriot in the 60 lb model but i need one in the 70 lb model. My dealer was told that it had something to do with customs at the border or are we just getting the screw around. My dealer is a good friend so i know he is trying his best, also ordering 4 other models in the bowtech line, just can't seem to get them in.Supposed to be in this monday but we will see,i have heard this to many times already.Maybe i just wasn't expecting such a long wait.Sorry for rambling but anyone else having problems.

RE: BOWTECHS in CANADA
The distributor for BowTech here in Ontario is North Sylva.
Nubo has had his share of delays and now understands the problems with having to wait on a BowTech--it's not a pleasant experience, I can tell ya.
As for the 'customs' problems, I've heard that excuse several times in the past.
I think something should really be done to improve the availability of these bows in Ontario, Montreal--where ever in Canada.
The only comforting thing is, when the wait is all over and the bow is in your hand you tend to forget all the pains from the wait.
Their bows really awesome, it's unfortunate here in Ontario there's quite a bit of agro to get yourself one.
Guess you can say--"good things come to those who wait".!!!
A good lesson in patience.

RE: BOWTECHS in CANADA
The bowshop i deal with here in Saskatchewan deals bowtechs so i would venture to say that if we can get them in Sask i would be very suprised if there was not a bowtech dealer anyplace in Montreal. But maybe this is the case and if so that is pretty sad.

I checked into this for you folks.
Currently the distributor for Canada (North Sylva) has no backorders w/ BowTech and has been receiving plenty of bows as part of their normal shipments. Any delays are outside of BowTech proper.

I had this problem a couple time at the shop I work at. Tell your dealer to get a hold of bowtech and order 70# limbs. It is a lot faster because you don't have to wait for bowtechs production. Put the 70# limbs on the 60# bow and send the 60# limbs back. Bowtech should do this free of charge for your dealer. Just swap limbs. I have done this on 2 or three bows for customers now.

RE: BOWTECHS in CANADA
Jeff, I'm very impressed with your personal interest pertaining to BowTech bows, especially here in Ontario. What I will say however is, getting your hands on a 'NEW' BowTech here (Southern Ontario) is nothing short of a nightmare!! I am being very honestabout this.
I am addicted to Archery and I love to hunt!!! Neither of these can be accomplished without one bow or another as we all already know.
My wife gave me a Bowtech Liberty VFT flyer in a 10" X 13" envelope for Christmas 2004. I asked her, 'what's happening here'--she replied and said that the bow was on order and never came in on time---CHRISTAMS 2004.
I waited and waited--no BowTech--oh I should also tell you my 'hunting' buddy owns the Pro Shop where she ordered the bow.
Six weeks later--no Liberty. Then one afternoon my buddy calles me to say the new CHAMPIONS are in and I should come and check them out.
I IMMEDIATELY left my home headed for the Shop.
Got there and opened four boxes, all Champions--The Wolverine, Scorpion, Diablo and Champion Liberty. Just about that time there was a post--quite a lengthy post (similar to this )--that compared the Liberty (my wife had on order) and the Diablo. So what the heck I said, I'll have a go at the Diablo--took them to the range and shot 3 of the 4 bows, the Diablo, Scorpion and Wolverine.
To make a long story short--I ordered myself the Scorpion as my price was much better compared to what the average man in the street would pay for it.
It was my thought at the time that "I" would buy the Scorpion and when the Liberty gets here, that will be my wife's Christmas gift to me. Of course I never passed this 'thought' onto my wife--and I'm sure we all will understand the reason for this.
Well the new BowTech bows arrived sometime later--Nubo collected his and mine never came.
I am yet to get my bow--it's now April. The Liberty bows came but all in camo. My wife order me the target color, blue & black, 28" DL and 60# limbs. North Sylva said they got a 28" DL & 60# red & black (which by the way I was going to take--I like them both, the red & the blue), but it was 'Left-handed'. Right--like if I can shoot a left handed bow.
This guys is full of IT!!!
Actually I'm still interested in the Liberty, but I don't need another camo bow at this time and I haven't a clue how much longer I'll wait as I have also a real interest in the Hoyt XTEC and the Merlin Extreme (the later isn't available here either, unfortunately), but I may just wake up one morning and decide a XTEC it will be, as I can get my hands on one of these is pretty short order.
Please forgive my lengthy post, but it's about time North Sylva get their act together.

Well said Kieth ,I definetly have to agree .David at North Sylva promised me a hat and promised to bring me up a 2 piece quiver when I picked up my Dually ,as of yet I've seen neither arrive. If they don't want to own up to thier promises, then maybe they should give up thier distributorship to someone who WILL. I'm sure my problem's never came from BowTech but directly from thier distributor's ,need I say more . I've recieved my bow and am very pleased with it ,but now I don't have any energy left to argue about promises that haven't been kept. I got my bow and that's all there is to it,this was the important part .

RE: BOWTECHS in CANADA
John, we have both had discussions about this guy--it's not my style to put others down as we all have our faults--we're human.
But I can say one thing--had there been another distributor for BowTech bows here in Ontario, North Sylva would have had to pull his socks up.
As a hunter also, I am sometimes superstitious--meaning I don't feel good about any form of confrontation as this "I feel" brings bad luck.
Therefore I believe that nothing is that important that I should stress myself over--life means more to me--let the chips fall where they may, but man are we having a tough time with the SOLE distributor here in Ontario.
It's just mindboggling, Superiority in the wrong hands can sometimes adversly affect a company's name--I would think having at least two distributors would give us a better chance to see a wider picture, being able to compare a service--but in this case there's no one to compare them too.
It's all a set of promises, words and no actions. When someone 'delivers' on their word, the respect for that person is greatly enhanced, on the other hand, it goes without saying when this is the opposite!!!
