Wow look at the size of him.(would i challenge this bear with a bow).Yes,but only if 3 guys were to back me up with 338 win mags or 375 h&h mags, and would probably need 4 clean pairs of underware after the ordeal of it being within archery range-------lol

That is a huge animal. It reminds of that horror movie "Grizzly". That bear was about the same size. I definitely would not like to walk up to that in the woods. Heck, my treestand is not high enough.

And you DO have a clue, JSASKER??!?!? I'm just reporting what the guy who actually shot the bear reported on another board probably a year and half ago. I'm just going from memory but I know the guy said it was nothing like all the stories circulating the web made it out to be. He even showed some other pictures of the beast and pointed out the bullet hole in the bridge of the nose that killed it.

I wasn't there so I'm not going to argue about it ... just reporting what I saw posted.

... Shockwave

Oh brother, not his again. This picture pops up so many times with different stories.
The guy was a in the air force and was a member of this board
The guy's handle was Daliwacker. I haven't seen him around for quite some time.
He posted the whole story pretty much. He and another guy were deer hunting and came upon this bear. They never shot it a dozen times but it was shot a couple times and I'm pretty sure that one of them was using a 338.

Actually i heard from this guy that had overheard these two ladies talking at the beauty salon that said they read about on a bathroom wall that the bear was taken with one well placed shot from a bb-gun right under the bear toe nail--SO THERE!

Thanks Shaky for the links. That pretty much puts the kabosh on all the rumors. Hopefully, this story will die, as the bear did.
