Omni flight is the string material for several of the bows, i don't believe they had a model oneida by that name.
The bows you are talking about, with no cams, is the discovery.
In short the discovery, started life as an oneida, then when the prior owner , got bought out by Mr. Pollington, he took the discovery bow with him and started a new company.
It is called Firebrand, i had a discovery, i was not impressed with it!
IMO, i would check out a new black eagle ESC, it is now offered in realtree high definition hardwoods green camo, it looks as sharp as it shoots.

Someone on Ebay has one listed by that name and it is a new bow unfortunately it is the short draw version. There is not a dealer around me that has these bows in stock except possibly some of the older models used. ANy recommendations on where to buy one of these ESC's. Thanks

I have shot an Onieda and found it to be smooth drawing, plenty accurate and about as quiet as slapping two trashcan lids together.[:-] But it was an old style one and didn't have any silencers or anything on it.
The biggest 'con' with Onieda around these parts is, there are no dealers. You carry one into a local pro shop needing service and they pull out the crucifixes and wooden stakes, hang garlic everywhere and send for the exorcist. An Onieda owner is about as welcome in their shop as a skunk is in a perfume factory.

The only thing I found you need a dealer for on my Oneida was nock placement and rest alignment. I don't own the tools for these since I only need it done very rarely. The rest you can do your self. They are very simple bows to break down and put back together.

Pros = They draw smooth and from what I've heard they hold up good and have good customer service.
Cons = Their uglier than a bucket full of smashed arseholes!
