ChiefHeadHunter,

Yep, on all counts. Some of the folks here have convinced me to try some of the other 2002 offerings. I haven't decided which one yet though. I am going "shopping" this weekend.

But if the bow doesn't suit me then I am buying another Havoctec and the "new" bow will be up on Ebay...

Wow! It takes me a bit just to get a bow tuned in to my form and to become comfortable with its "personality"; but I stll consider my self a beginner. Was there something about the bow that you weren't shot in the butt about? Oh, and you can call me Chief.
Back to the topic of people not knowing what the heck they're talking about, I crack up when I find ads like this-
Would you consider this a nontypical target?
Oh and PA, at least people buying from guys like you will be gettin something from a good home. I mean that bows hardly been touched, huh. Email me a link to your add if you get a chance ok? Later- Chief

Chief,

Oh, I loved the Havoctec, I really did. The fact that I will go back to it if I don't like the new bow should say something. But there are a few new choices out there that I need to test.

As for that pic you posted....Yep, that is the Aim-Rite Nontypical...

Jevan,

I wouldn't worry about it too much...but you do have to wonder because if the bow is brand new then either a) Dealers are getting one heck of a mark up on those models or, b)the guy that is selling it on Ebay is losing money...

I just posted in the gun forum that there were a couple Leupold scopes on EBAY for $215 + shipping. The same scopes are on being sold at a local store for $179...NO SHIPPING

Some of the buyers get caught up in the bidding and over pay for items.

Also saw some camo Herman Survivor boots being auctioned with a starting price of 29.99. Saw them on clearance at Walmart for 20.00 just this weekend.

Let the buyer(or bidder) beware.

PAB, man you change bows more often than a lot of these guys change their shorts.

Nice one CD
About 10 years ago on the farm I hunt, we ran into one of those type of hunters. We kept hearing these shots that sounded funny with a twang each time. A little investigation and we caught two trespassers with a .410 single shot shotgun stuffing arrows down into the barrel shooting them at deer (It was during bow season...so it was bowhunting to them I guess)
Funny thing is they never hit one, that we know of. The warden didn't find it so funny. Some people.....
and to advertise this type of stuff on ebay not good for hunting
