Default My Hunting Area, Aerial Pics

Hello everyon.

I finally decided to put a pick of one of my hunting areas on here. This isn't my "honey hole" for big bucks. I saw two bucks in this area this year that were pushing pope and young. One was a huge basket 8 that was probablly going near 135" and the other a a nice wide ten point that was probablly going close to 140". Like I said, this isn't my sweet spot. It might be this year though. In the summer, I saw roughly 5 or 6 eight points in this area that had between 12-16 inch spreads. A small fork horn, a small spike, the two bucks that I mentioned, a messed up looking ten point (one side of the rack was HUGE, the other was TINY). Let me know what you think. I might walk down there and snap a few pictures with the digital camera tommorow. I will probablly put the aerial photo and picks of my honey hole on here tommorow too. Well, let me know what you think.
I hope that the pic isn't too big. Sorry if it is.

I made it smaller for you. - TS

P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)

Buck magnet is there any way to shrink this picture as it is kind of hard to get a good feel of the area. but it does seem to be a pretty sweet place to hunt. if you ever need a partner let me know.

Buck, you have one great hunting area! I would love to be in those woods on a day when field cutting is taking place! I glad to see more map makers on board. Sitting in a tree looking across the field of goldenrods must be something!

Around here, they really like bedding in the thick pines. It looks like there are plenty of rubs/scrapes around the pines and white oaks. I, personally, would be all over that creek between the two. Find a crossing going from the feeding area(pines) to the food area(white oaks). Plus, if they are going to the back field food plot, yo've got that covered, too. Just my inexperienced thoughts.

The most important bloodtrail leads right to the foot of the cross

Nice post! I'd like to know how you superimposed the words and colors on that. Is that terraserver?
Next time go ahead and mark where you would like me to set up, and make sure it's a good spot; ok?<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

Buck Magnet - Can you hunt around those pines and creek beds ? It looks like thick stuff, you have a couple of scrape lines intersecting there - I'd be all over that little spot. Might be a bedding area, but then I don't mind getting in close.

Thanks Tribalscream.

To answer the questions. I have permission to hunt all of the land shown. The fence row with thick brush is full of deer all the time. It is also where a HUGE bear is living. The deer seem to move off of that hillside, walk down the rub/scrape line, and then they either head to the thick pines or go out into the golden rod field. They always move through there because it is a natural funnel.

Chiefheadhunter, all I did was download the aerial photos from extremehunting.com, which I believe is terraserver, then, I opened the picture in Paint and just added them in there.
