Mike.
His name is not Ken by any chance?
I have about 20k shots through my 03 Pat Dually with no signs of any trouble.
Have not heard of any limb or riser problems but hey it could happen even Fords and Chevies break down.
I am 100% sure if it does happen BT will stand behind their product.

Sounds like you know exactly who I'm talking about.

Mike.
I had a run in with him a couple of 3 years back
If you want something other than he sells in his shop it is junk according to him.
If ya want I can meet you over at Red's on Tuesday about 6pm.
I have a bow I need to set up plus I have some extra mods for it that will go to your lenght.
Will also have the 03 Pat and 04 BK with me.

Sounds like a plan to me. I have already shot the Hoyt Razortec and the Extreme VFT. I'm still waiting on them to get a Patriot single in so I can shoot it.

I've had problems with my 03 Pat DC. It was taken care of quickly and to my satisfaction. Of all the boards I visit, this was the one and only time I've heard of this problem. Yes, I would purchase another Bowtech. If you would like more assurence, feel free to email me and I will explain.

RE: Has Bowtech had riser and limb problems?
After making my decision to go with the Mathews Outback I decide to hit the bowshop again to set up a Bowtech and shoot it thoroughly. I shot a MM VFT and almost changed my decision. I love the smoothness of the draw and just cant get over the overall design. I came to this. Both the Mathews and the Bowtech fit me well, so I want to get both. I kinda see this as a way to really find out wich bow I would shoot more. I dont think I can really know until I take the two out for hunting trips. Anyway, I came to the conclusion that all bows have errors some time down the road due to human error or not. Good Luck all!
P.S. Is there a Bowtech devoted webpage?

This is exactly why I like my shop so much. They are honest and don't try to push a particular brand on you. They carry the Big 3 now (Hoyt, Bowtech and Mathews) and say good things about each. They just started carrying Bowtech about a month ago becuase of all the good rep they have been getting. Their main line is Hoyt and most of the shooter's there shoot them. But, they don't bad mouth other companies unless they see first hand problems with such a product.
As far as problems with Bowtech? I haven't heard or seen anything major. Of course you will get the occasional faulty bow regardless of company, but I haven't heard anything bad about them. Top notch bows from a top notch company. I personally have shot most of the lineup and don't see anything wrong with them. I just happen to prefer the feel and shooting charecteristics of a Hoyt bow.
