I know this from personal experience, almost fell 20 feet when I made that same install mistake! I have used them for years since then with no problem.

Re: Leveler Safety Notice

Dear Customer,

A potential safety risk exists with the Tree Lounge Leveler, which you may have purchased from CESSO, LLC (makers of the TreeLounge tree stand and accessories) or one of our dealers.

A number of levelers have partially cracked. In other cases, the bolts attaching the leveler to the TreeLounge have pulled, or begun pulling, through the primary tube on the leveler, or there have been other complaints.

Although we know of no customer who has experienced injury, we are concerned about the risk that leveler failure could cause the TreeLounge to fall or shift abruptly. In either case, injury is possible.

Your safety is of utmost importance. We therefore ask that you stop using your leveler immediately. We have not experienced the same issues with the foot climber leveler, but, as a precaution, you should stop using it as well.

We are currently evaluating the appropriate remedy in the circumstances and expect to make a further announcement about the leveler in the near future in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Thank you for your cooperation. We apologize for the inconvenience
