RE: MATHEWS OR PARKER??
AFRO,welcome to a rock and a hard place! Both are great bows. Both have lifetime warrenties. Before I bought my bow,I was able to shoot a Mathews at Peak-n-Peak a few years back.I was impressed! When I got back home that August I went to the Mathews dealer to buy a bow.No problem he said, just wait six months.WHAT!I'm left-handed so at that time there was a wait.Darn.Went to our other dealer and he gave me a Parker to try.It was just as good I thought, cheaper and I could get one in three days.My first Parker was a Premier Mag.Now I shoot a Ultra Lite Pro for 3Ds and a Super Mag for hunting.I like my Parkers.Either way I don't think you'll be making a bad choice.Good luck and have fun trying to make a decision.

RE: MATHEWS OR PARKER??
I think it's funny when Mathews owners and Parker owners argue. I am surprised to see that nobody has mentioned that the top dog at Parker was a former chief engineer at Mathews. Therefore, the engineering of the bows is going to be very similar. I am a former MQ32 shooter (now I have a Hoyt Vortec) and can't say a bad thing about Mathews. I haven't been fortunate enough to shoot a Parker yet due to my left handed affliction, but have heard nothing but good things about them. As a completely unbiased person, I can only say shoot them both and pick the one that feels good to you. Don't let price sway you because when you are spending that much $ you don't want to regret your purchase because you wanted to save a few bucks. I also agree with the others about the release, you should give it a try. Good luck and let us know what you get.

I think you should go to another archery shop, you should be able to get a better price than $700...isn't that full retail? I was on the west coast last month and paid $550 and no tax on a new Q2 and they shipped it free. I had planned to buy a Parker Ultra-Lite 31 before I left on my hunting trip, but my bowshop here at home took too long getting them in...way too long...but that's another story. I think both companies make great bows and you'd be happy either way...

RE: MATHEWS OR PARKER??
In the question of mathews or parker. It seems that a lot of people follow trends. Mathews started the solo cam craze. So people tend to think they are best.I shot both bows I went for the parker Because It felt great to me.I didn't look for price.I went for smoothness, forgivness, and weight wise.A lot of shops will get "SPIFFS" if they push a certain bow that they sell.Don't get me wrong mathews makes a good bow. It's you that has to find a bow that fits you and only you,no matter what brand you decide on.
