My best friend and I have used them in the past when we were trying to get into some of the bigger woods around here. We would go out a few days before we planned on hunting and we would clear trails to where we were gonna be. These trails were cleared to the ground so it was entirely quiet when you walked in. We put reflector tacks on trees on both sides of the trail. We used a small flashlight in the morning and it lite up a path right to where we wanted to go. It was a great way to get to our stands entirely quiet!

If you are on public land you are showing someone to your favorite spot--hopefully you get there first![:-].If it's private land then yes it is very helpful.

I put them high up on the trees.......as high as I can get them. Most people do not shine their lights up into the trees.........I also don't make an OBVIOUS trail right to my tree. Just close enough together to know where I am.........or where I am NOT.
