Passing on a buck??

Passing on a buck??
I'm sure most of us have passed on small bucks. My question is, do you take the opportunity when you know you're going to pass on the buck to go through the routine of drawing on him?? I usually do it a couple times a season just to see what will happen. See if I can get to full draw and put the pin on him and not have him spook. Kind of a way to test my surroundings and find out if something would possibly go wrong when mossyhorns comes by. Or do you not want to take the chance of spooking the deer??

I make it a point not to draw on an animal that I don't intend to shoot. I tried this once (when younger) and found that deer about 60 yards off piled up next to a spruce tree. I guess I have no self control. Now I only draw on doe and what I consider a respectable buck.

Rack-Attack nailed it for me. Primarily for not taking a chance of educating them, but also for his second reason. Ol' Mossy Horns may be standing outside your field of vision surveying his kingdom.

I don't draw either. I just sit back and enjoy the view. Like the other guys said, I wouldn't want to screw up a chance at the buck I'm really after because he caught me moving to get into position on a deer I don't intend to shoot.
