Default Stealth Cam question

I recently bought the MC2-G model camera from Cabelas' (they we're on sale, I couldn't resist). I'm pleased with how easy it is to operate, the "test" mode is very helpful. I'm just wondering what you guys do when moving the camera if there are exposures left on the film.

I've been moving the camera around trails leading to corn here around my place and I have to take a picture of myself everytime as I try to open the cam to switch it to "standby" mode. Anything I can do about this?

I stand behind it and open the door VERY slowly. SOmetimes it goes off, sometimes it doesn't

what did Cabela's sell them for? I just bought 2 at Walmart for $67 (MC2-GWM), then in the last week or so the went on clearance for $54, so I bought 1 more, plus my mom gave me one for X-Mas

so now I got 4 to play with

You should be OK if you just open it without getting in front of it.

My biggest problems this year have been in getting the film to wind properly when starting a new roll. Finally got it figured out and have had no problems since.

Good luck!

That cam gives you 5 minutes to exit the area, mine does that too, but it is really not taking a pic!

LLBUX, So what was the trick to getting the film to wind properly, I just loaded mine for the first time today and I had the same problem. I finally got it to load, but I had to play with it for long time before I finally got it.
