Swott, what do you have? I may know a person or 3 that would be interested.

I would advise you to make sure of what you have and don't just give it up. Some of the old Bear equipment can be worth quite a bit of $ if it's in good shape. One I just bought for under $200 is worth about $400. So take it to someone that is knowledgable with the old Bear stuff. Many people, I have been finding out, will pay good money for some of his older stuff to collect.

BigBulls, Thanks for the info on old Bear stuff. I have a Bear Grizzly with the following markings:Glass Powered Bow/Grayling Mich/62"/GJ197/US Pats 2.213.660 & 2.605.678/ Patented 1953 (Canada) Any idea where I can go to find an honest value for my Grizzly? Thanks, Jim

I just got in the phone book and started asking around the pro shops and the shops that specialize in traditional archery. Of course do numerous searches on the net to see if you can find any pics and what year it was made.

I am just now getting into the traditional side of archery so I am not exactly very knowledgable on the subject yet. I just did a lot of searching and asking around.

Check Ebay and see what those old Grayling-made Grizzly's are going for. Grizzly's aren't nearly as in demand as Kodiaks, so don't get your hopes too high. There's an article in the Features section of Bowsite that is about collecting Bear bows. That might be something you'd like to check out. It'd give you a ballpark idea of about when the bow was made.
