RE: is your bowseason closed.
Here in Ontario, some WMU's closed on December 15th--my area (Wildlife Management Unit) goes until Dec 31st--a sad day for my deer hunting season. But I must admit--I'm kinda relieved when I don't have to get out of bed @ 4:AM and venture out into -10 temperature. Scouting for sheds starts as soon as the snow lets up. There after begins the count down for our Turkey Season which opens on April 25th! Then the fishing season, then bear, then caribou, then ducks & geese, then moose, then deer. I'm always counting down the days to my next hunt.

Here in Az the late season runs until Jan 31st, but only in some units. Buck only, though. Up until last year there were some units that had doe's allowed in January, but with the drought and all, they cut out those.

Here in Iowa it runs through either January 10th or the 11th, I'm not sure. Either way, my season ended last weekend when I took my second deer. Freezer is full of venison so I'm happy. Still have one unfilled tag but have already taken my ladder stand down and am getting ready to start target shooting with my stepson who gets his first bow on Christmas.
