Anybody ever heard of Benchmade Knives?
Has anybody here ever heard of Benchmade Knives? I saw one today, but had never heard of the company before. My buddy got it for his birthday for a hunting knife and was very proud of it. Are they that good? Any better than Buck knives? Just wondering. Thanks.

YES!!!!! I own one benchmade, and it is an awesome knife. I've had it for about 3-4 years. Benchmade is well known for VERY high quality knives. Many consider them the best of the best....depends on the person. Great knife, a little pricey though. If I had my buck and benshmade next to each other.....probably take the benchmade.

It's the Camaro vs. Corvette thing. Benchmade started off life as a tactical/fighting knife. They are some of the best folders on the planet. IMHO they have much better steel than a Buck. However, after losing two of them I am back to a cheaper Spyderco for an every day knife, and a Buck for hunting.

I got one for my B'day this year. It is a very nice nice, and probably, if not, one the sharpest knives I have ever owned out of the package. It is pretty easy to sharpen as well. Plus they have a lifetime warranty and for $5 you can send it back to be inspected at the factory and they will put the factory edge back on it.
