Default I need help buying a bow for my son

Hello....I am a rifle hunter who has been longing to get involved in bow hunting. I need some help selecting a bow for my 10 yr. old son for Xmas, who will be my new hunting partner. I am pretty cluless when it comes to bows! Any resources anyone can point me to that gives info for newbies would be much appreciated. I will also need a bow for myself but am more concerned with his due to the Xmas time crunch!!! Thanks for the help!

I would say a PSE Spyder, something like that or the Browning Micor Midas or Adrenaline, you want something that allows the kid to grow with!!

Fastest bows youth buying guid...

Just about any bow in this article would do the job. Personally I would go to a good archery shop and get him some instruction to go with it.

I've got my boys a Browning Micro-Adrenaline (double-cam) and a Micro-Eclipse (single-cam). They spit carbon arrows out pretty fast. The best thing is their draw length adjustable. 10 year olds come in different sizes and strengths. Don't overbow them with too much poundage. Brownings have alot of adjustability with them. Browning also has an upgrade package from low poundage limbs (20-35#'s) to 35-50#'s.

What size is your son? That is the main factor. Draw lenght mainly will decide what bows he could shoot. Just take him to a local shop with bows they should be able to set him up. That being said go with a PSE I love them. Thunderhead Broadheads will probably be your best bet 75 grain. Get whatever Carbon arrows you can get for cheap and you should have a good bow.

Browning Micro-Adrenaline ...........That is a nice looking bow for a starter!....I think he would be very happy with that bow! I might even buy one for my little brother.....
