Best thing to do is try and find a piece of property that wasn't really hunted during any season. The deer see this as a safe haven and u will see a lot. I hunted this piece of ground second archery season in pa(dec. 26-to like Jan12) and 2 different years i saw monsters. One group of 5 nice bucks busted me while i was on the ground and the next year, i saw a huge 8 but he busted me and i shot a smaller 8. Hit him a little low and lost him though. Still even a small piece of ground between hunting areas can be really good for second season...goodluck
