Making my climber quiter?
I recently purchased a climber from wally world because I couldn' t afford the more expensive climber' s on the market. I cant think of the name of the unit but it was $175 ( if that helps any of you). I feel safe in it and I' m not dissapointed with the climbing skills but I wish it was quiter. Any suggestions on making my climber quiter?

Slow down and you won' t make so much noise. Other than that, not knowing your stand, you can use spray foam, foam pipe insulation, moleskin runners between pieces, dip chains, pins etc in liquid rubber.,;... etc etc etc.

Climb slow as mentioned is your best advice. If possible put plastic grommets at the bolts.
Funny you should mention noisy climbers. There will be folks telling you about the bucks that came in to investigate the noise they made while climbing. It does happen and usually your bow is still on the ground[:-]

I have used camo tape on all exposed metal, and it seems to quite the metal to metal clanking. As said already, go slow, and pick trees that don't have loose bark. You may sound like you are making alot of noise, but in reality you probably can't be heard very far if you are trying to be quiet.
