Nice deer. Could someone please tell the guy in it that: a) that thing's a deer, not a Lazy-Boy, and; b) the tongue came out of it's mouth, it should fit back in.

If this deer grossed 212", it likely won't touch Mel Johnsons current record. I'm guessing it will net right around the 200" mark.
FYI, I was in Pike Co., Illinois the week that deer was killed. It was the absolute best week of deer hunting I've ever had. I hate to say that I have doubt about those fellas, but c'mon, I was suspicious of the story when I read it in the Pike Press that same week.

There is already rumors, hopefully unfounded and untrue, that the deer was taken after legal shooting hours. I did see a pic of it over at archerytalk.
I know I've tracked lots of deer at night and carried my bow in case a "coupe de grace" was needed. And I'll continue to do so.

] I really not so smart. Sometimes I wish I can think better so I don't get so much myself in trouble. The deer that the picture of is no trophy. Maybe he might score 125 and be into the record books that somebody writes cause I don't know cause them numbers confuse me and then sometimes I can't count so good. I so sorry so I don't wreck more posts maybe sometime.
