Default .... AND let there be NOISE and Confusion.

So it all starts tomorrow. The gun slingers take to the Maryland woods with shotguns, rifles and muzzleloaders. World War III is set to begin. My son and his honey came home for Thanksgiving early in the week, Monday. I really wanted to get out another time or two before the guns went off but it wasn' t meant to be. With getting ready and all that stuff it couldn' t happen. They' re leaving tomorrow sometime so I won' t be going out in the AM either. I' ll give all the bangers a days head start. Len and his boy will be out there taking care of our interest.

Speaking of which.... Len shot number 17 in WV with the bow on Monday. He drove home and stopped at one of our crop damage places and whacked number 18 with the bow. The boy is a killin' machine. Len... if you need help my kid should leave by 9 or 10. Let me know what happens.

david--I won' t be going out in the morning either since I am at work and can' t get off for the opener![:' (] That the first time it' s ever happened and--to make it worse--my wife saw a very large buck walking onto our property very late this evening! Oh well, the weather is supposed to suck anyway with all the wind that' s expected, but I' ll probably take my youngest son out in the afternoon if the wind let' s up any.

Are you and Len going to hunt exclusively with bows during gun season?

Dave, sorry to hear you can`t hunt tomorrow!

As for that big buck in your yard.....I know how to get to your house. Wonder if I can get a tag in the middle of the night!

BC, I can be there before nightfall if I remember the way . I won' t be out either, have to work also and next Sat too. Doesn' t matter, don' t have a place to gun hunt anyway, and havn' t done so in 7 years. Len, what can I say, awesome.

md, it has been so long since I gun hunted, I don`t remember the combo to my gunsafe!

As far as that Len guy goes.......he is a machine!

He made one tactical error though. I saw his picture on here, now I know what he looks like!

I go to Baltimore, wait for him to start the season, and just follow him all year!

Sell the footage, maybe learn a thing or 3 about bowhunting at the same time!

Might even get some bonus footage of davdmil along the way.

I can see it now.......The TERMINATORS, Archery Style!

All I can think about it that GIANT BUCK I missed earlier this month. Not a day goes by that I don' t beat myself up over it multiple times. I know I won' t see him again this year, if ever. He may already be dead since I haven' t seen him and he may not make it through gun season either since they' re still breeding in my area. If he does make it, he' ll be across the street in an area no one can hunt. It' s killin' me!
