Yep, I' m with arthur. The arrow does not kill the deer. All it does is deliver the (hopefully) razor sharp broadhead to a vital spot. The blades do the rest.

My son, Joe uses the following: Easton XX75 CamoHunter aluminums w/100 gr. 3 blade Muzzy's. Score: 4 deer/3 pass-thru's/4 kills. Hope this info helps you in your decision.

One time, I saw a carbon arrow pretty much explode about 10 feet in front of the bow. The guy remembered missing a target and hitting a rock with one of his arrows
Arthur, believe it or not I once saw an aluminum arrow explode exactly the same way! These 2 bozos were shooting through a chronograph, trying to see who's bow was faster. using the same arrow. They kept upping their poundage equally and their draw length was identical. Evidently one of them had hit something in the target earlier. Scared the crap out of us who were watching.[]
