RE: Buying an ATV next summer, need input.
I own 3 machines....' 00 Polaris 500, ' 03 Yamaha Grizzly 660, and my sons Polaris 90. If you want a good smooth ride Polaris Sportsman series is absolutey the best. Suzuki, Honda and Kawasaki have straight solid axels, pretty rough ride. Honda makes very good machines and there new Rincon has a good rear independant suspension, but Its worthless for hunting, its not made to be a workhorse, its a trail riding ATV, don' t buy it! Over the years I' ve had several machines and compared to 8 years ago, all the manufacturer offer pretty darn good reliable products. they are an awsome hunting tool!
Good Luck!

polaris magnum 330 4x4 , great machine rides great , i flipped it twice too , just rolled it back over and off i went ,both flips were due to my hot dogging it! and it' s as good as new ! for the money your not going to get a better machine! hondas and yamahas are nice but cost mucho dinero , so do kawasakis , bombardiers are ok , i didn' t check out suzuki" ' s but they are one of the top rated machines ,not for nothing i still wouldn' t trade my polaris for anything! one more thing wear a helmetit saved my life!

bowgobble, if it matters to you the kodiak 450 is the way to go between those two rides. The 2003/4 400 has no locker or low gear.
Mathews archer, the eiger 400 sounds like the ride for you. If that' s the one with the features you want, then get it. You' ll be happy I' m sure.
I myself ride an 03 prarie 650 and find the power it has over my previous 400 to be OVERKILL. Anything over a 500 imho is more than needed.
If money wasn' t an object I' d be looking into the artic cat 500 or 650- sometimes overkill feels good!![]

I love my Honda Rubicon. Couldn' t ask for a better machine. It has gone farther than my buddies sportsman and farther than my brother in law would even dare on his kaw.
Honda has always been reliable in my book.
