It' s funny how the equipment keeps changing but the whitetail is the same as it was in the 1800' s. If your bow will kill a deer today it will kill a whitetail a 100 years from now. If you are happy with your current setup why change???

Is there anyone that is happy with the rig they have?
I have been happy with several of the rigs I have had over recent years....but it is sort of my hobby/passion to buy new bows each year...try them out for awhile and then sell them to try something else. I enjoy seeing what the new manufacturers have each year in comparison to what I have shot the year before. Sure I regret selling some of them but as long as a person is comfortable with what they are shooting prior to bow season I see no problem with it.

By the way, did you see the new " Brand Y" bow. It is the greatest thing since sliced bread. It is much better than the Brand Z bow from last year that I had....

...said in good humor ofcourse...

I' m convinced that the bow manufacturers out there know how to get a bow to shoot way faster and quieter than what' s currently on the market. It' s kind of like computers - introduce new technology a little at a time so there will always be a market. I' m also convinced that when shooting a deer at 15-20 yards and the arrow goes through the deer, it' s through. Does it really matter if we can shoot faster once the arrow goes through the deer? I dont' know.

I got a Ben Pearson when I was 12, killed many deer with it over the next 22 years. Finally broke down and bought a new Hoyt two years ago. This is a bow I' ll have for many years to come. No need in spending a grand to get the latest for me. I also have a Bob Lee recurve shooting at around 75#. I don' t see me buying another recurve. Maybe a long bow, but that' s about it.

I usually buy a new bow every 2 years, not because I ever need a new bow every 2 years but like PABowhntr I just love new toys. Currently I have a Martin Jaguar Mag, its an OK bow. I purchased because I wanted to see if there would be a big difference from a very high end bow to a moderatly priced one. With that said I think I' m going to get one of the new 04 Bowtech models for next season......you do the math.

I got a 96 or 97 Nova 1 cam. It' s served me well. I toss around getting a new bow for the past couple years, till I pull it out and shoot it. When the arrows go where I aim, I smile and push down those thoughts for another year. I' ll admit its getting harder and harder though. Archery hunting is the biggest thing I do, so I' m trying to convince myself to spend some money on a real nice bow.

I' m shooting a Martin cheetah I purchased in 94' , its built like a brick sh!t house but with that being said I' ve had some problems with it this year. I' ve been looking at bow-tech' s and hoyts. I seem to like the feel and grip on the hoyt razortec.............Decisions, decisions!!!

My Martin Panther Mag is all I really need. It is reasonably fast, and the quietest bow that most have heard(or not heard). It has a very smooth draw cycle. I gotta tell ya' , I really want to try out a Merlin Max with their new limb materials. Many on these boards say they are possibly the best-made bows out there.

Bowtech pro38, muzzy drop away. I freakin love this thing. Quiet, fast and drop dead accurate. No plans on changing any time soon.

Perfectly happy with my Browning Ambush, I retired a 20 year old bow when I bought it, I doubt I will be replacing the Browning anytime soon.
