Default Fred Bear and hunting ethics

After reading through Fred Bear' s Field notes I have noticed that Mr. Bear has taken his fair share of risky shots during his lengthy career. I don' t want list all the exact quotes from his book but I will tell you that by his descriptions he was not afraid to let the arrow fly. I bring this point up not to tarnish or cast doubt on Fred Bear' s legacy rather I point out the example that some people are willing to take chances in hunting situations.

I think we live in a different world today with all the Anti' s and liberals wanting to shut us down, so we have to be a little more careful. I have not read the mentioned writings but would guess that with the time and experiance he had the shots were more calculated than it might seem.
