Summit Headhunter hang on.
I posted this in the gear review forum, and I don' t think it is getting the needed audience. At least I think that' s the one.
Has anyone used these stands? I am probably going to buy the Mini, and am wondering how good they are. I looked at Lone Wolf, but too expensive. And can' t get info on the Gorilla.
So I will let you all know how I like this stand after using it for late archery in PA.

RE: Summit Headhunter hang on.
I hunt from a copperhead and love it! I talked with the guys from Summit at the AMO show last year and they developed the Headhunter to provide a less expensive lockon for their customers. The stand is made solid and easy to move from tree to tree. I highly recommend their stands.
A word of advise....Don' t leave them up all year. Animals eat the seats and they are hard as heck to pull down after a few months.

RE: Summit Headhunter hang on.
Thanks. I have had the seats on a few stands destroyed, and a friend left one of my stands up for about 6 months, so I had to go find it and take it down. Man was that hard.
I have a summit viper and like it a lot, and im sure the headhunter will be just as good.

I have the Headhunter Lite. This is the easiest to hang, lightest, most comfortable, and STABLE lock on stand I have ever used. Spend the extra money and get the light, it is awesome. As far as the seat is concenerned, on the Lite you can take it off and attach it to the D-rings on your pack. It slides on and secures with two straps and snaps.

Mike
What are the differences between the Mini and the Light, other than the weight?
I guess its only money, so I will take your advice and get the light.
How is the stand attached to the tree?
thanks

I have not used any of the new hang on style stands, but every Summit product I have tried and used has been excellent. I see no reason why the new hang on stands would be anything but outstanding.
