Default back off poundage

Do you guys turn your bows down when it gets colder out? I shoot 60# and the other day I drew my bow back after settng in the stand about 4 hrs and it drew a little harder then usual. I turned it down to 55# and resighted in. The cold and not
shooting must be the reason it was harder harder to draw.

Why would ya' ll back off on the poundage? I shoot 70 whether practicing or hunting. I try to keep practice as realistic as the hunt. I practice in the same clothes, form, and from different stances and positions as I would during a hunt. But thats just me.

I' ve had the same problem. Twice this year I couldn' t pull my bow on a deer. One was a huge 14 pointer. For the last two seasons I shot almost 4000 shots at 70.5 lbs.

Good Luck!

I have had it maxed out at 60 for the last few years. But come to think about it, I have never drawn on a deer when it was cold. ummm. I will have to change that.
