Lilhunter, or anyone else, you had mentioned about the left or right helical. Does it really matter?? Or was that a joke that I missed. I always thought it didn't matter. The arrow would rotate whatever direction the fletching would direct it to. Thanks

All of our pro-shops have gone "Big Time". By that I mean they are in huge buildings with mounts everywhere...pretty, but useless. Kinda like going to Cabelas---great to look at, but no service.

stinky..does it matter...not really, if you want to shoot rt or left but try fletching with a rt wing clamp and left wing feathers. When ya walk in and say you want 100 full legth lft wing feathers and they get the deer in the headlite look....then the oh ya here it is, ya get home, look at them, and wammo, lefties all the way. You would think they would learn, being a "PROSHOP" or course, the first time!!! NOPE LOL!
As for the left vs right...back in the hay days, folks thought you needed to shoot the opposite feathers as you are a shooter. For those selfbow shooters shooting off there hands or those who shoot off the shelf with a close hand (usually longbows with a narrow shelf, you might want to pick your feathers accordingly so as to not have the bottom hen feather turn into and slice the top of your pointer finger right around your first nuckle...man it gives ya some smarts real quick like ! But for most it doesnt matter. You will notice however that lefts are usually a bit cheaper then rts! Something to keep in mind when buying and trying to save a buck or two.....fletch down the center, 800 555 2020 ! Later

Brian, etal: I'm sorry to hear about these incidents. It makes the good "Pro Shops" look bad when you post that some store, that may be nothing more than an archery sales outlet, claims to be a "Pro Shop".
It's a shame that there aren't standards set up by which we could grade different stores. If this were so, we would only have a small percentage of stores that would be labeled "Pro Shops".
