I was in a similar situation this past Saturday. I put a good hit on a small 8 pointer. He went down about 30 yards out and starts thrashing about. Out of nowhere a huge 8 pointer comes in from behind and is watching the smaller buck. I slowly get another arrow out of my quiver, and it dawns on me that I can only shoot 1 buck. I put the arrow back and watched the big boy move off. I hope to see him again someday.
