A guy doesn' t have permission to put stands on my uncles land...what to do what to do?
We have found them when we were out scouting. There on his land, actually we have found 3 ladder stands placed on his land. They have been there for a month or two. Haven' t seen.......or well caught anyone sitting on them. What do we do? maybe put a sign on them telling them that if there not gone within a month or so, there...well ours?

You seem like a very nice guy, I think that I might just opt to put a sign where the stands USED to be that says they are yours...but that is of course, personal choice. Either way, let them know that they have been noticed and they are not welcome.

Do what you feel is right. I would take them down. Depending on the situation, you could keep them or put them somewhere where he would find them, and know that they he is not welcome.

I have to agree. I would take the stands down and leave a note that if the trespasser wants them then he needs to come to the house to get them. When he gets there, if he gets there, then I would kindly show him the property line and ask him not to cross it. Ofcourse, I would give him his stands back if he shows up...

I would take them and leave a note behind with your contact info. There is nothing the owner can do except call and ask for them back. The law is on your side.

Notify the DNR and ask them what you should do.
I would say....take the stands and tuck them away in your garage. Leave a note to where he can pick up his stands. First, ask the DNR if this is legal. I' m sure it is. Then if he actually comes and picks them up, I' d call the DNR and ask them to come over and talk with the person. Not arrest him, just put a little shake in him

I would take them down and leave them at the nearest police station or nearest DNR station. Leave a note saying where they can pick their illegally placed stands up at. If they don' t pick them up, you will probably will have a few nice new stands.
