I can not beleive that every one forgot the most important item to take on stand!!! TP!!!!! Man if you don' t have TP it is garuanteed you will be throwing away a pair of drawers, cutting the tops of your socks or the shirt tail of your shirt! That and what do you mark the blood trail with?

I got you all beat. You forgot all the duplicates I carry...like
EXTRA of all theses: flashlight, knife, gloves, headnet, glove liners, 4 or 5 pairs of rubber surgical gloves, 4 bowholder screw in things, power bars, grunt tube etc etc etc.
Plus camera and all the things you folks have mentioned EXCEPT GPS.
WANNABEES!!!

Plenty of TP
2 grunt calls
2 bleat calls

Buckshot Hotshot climbing tree stand
Now to the fanny pack:
More TP in a Zip-lock bag
4 screw-in bow holders
Ol' Man Urine bottle
Gallon Zip-lock bag with Pee Willie Wick loaded with Mrs. Doe Pee' s + 3 others
Large drag rag
8 point rattling antlers (the real ones)
Screw in step
Licenses (mine, my son' s and my daughter' s)
Reading glasses (so that I can fill out the danged tag)
Pen to fill out the tag
Saw
Compass
Extra Boonie Hat
Extra gloves
Surgical gloves and arm-length gloves
Another wind indicator and powder bottle
Knife
Pull up rope (at least 40' )
I know there is some stuff that I missed. Did I mention TP???
On my stand I have a bow holder, 3 quiver holders permanently attached, several straps to hold things on, a foot rest, severa bungie cords, and a insulated foot pad.
When I take my son with me, I carry some of his stuff to make his load easier. I usually manage to take at least 5-10 pounds off his load. After all, what' s a Dad for???
Now you know why David often offers to drag my deer.[>:][&:]

RE: Does anyone else carry as much gear in to hunt as I do? Inventory list..
I' ll admit, Len wins the prize. He forgot about 37 1/2 pounds of other things. His ditty bag weighs more than my stand and everything else I carry. I didn' t look back. Did he mention his boot blankets etc etc etc. I' ve been called this by a buddy in NY but the title really is most appropriately attached to Len.... Mr. Gadget Man.
You know the saying, " like father like son" . Well, Saturday Len asked me to take his son in and find him a tree. So, I grabbed the boys stand and he grabbed HIS " Ditty Bag" . I think I got the light end of the deal. We found a tree in the dark and he starts yanking stuff out of his bag before starting up the tree to organize. SOoooooooooo..... 5 minutes later he' s ready. Mr Gadget Man Jr. The only thing he didn' t take was enough warm clothes. I swung by to pick him up about 9:20. He was already gone and back at the truck. Dad asked before we left, " do you have enough clothes" . " Oh sure dad, I don' t get cold" . NExt time he' ll dress warmer I' m sure. The little bugger has shot a bunch of deer with the bow this year though. Not to shabby for an 11 year old.[:-]

5. compass/thermometer
6. medium knife
7. small knife
8. folding handsaw
9. cord & string
10. deer drag
11. tissue
12. rubber gloves/plastic bag
13. license/bandaids in waterproof holder
14. ballpoint pen
15. windproof lighter
16. gps/radio (rino 120)
17. cell phone
18. binoculars
19. two flashlights (red and white beams)
20. extra batteries

22. orange hat/vest for dragging deer out
(overlapping firearms/muzzleloader seasons)
sometimes - heat packs, handgun & earplugs, scent, rangefinder
rarely - tree stand, fanny pack

I pack all my stuff in my pockets
I usually still hunt alone and out for the day, so I need to be completely self-sufficient. The cell phone is for when the deer is too big for me to drag by myself, which is most any sized deer
