I have used my Savage for 3 years now and I like the part about NEVER having to worry about HOW FAR my target is. I use my laser Range finder to find 35 yard landmarks. Anything inside of that, I just hold dead on!

I use the Impact pendulum, and I love it. As for pronghorn, ect stalking...it's not very difficult to change your site. I have another set up with a couple pins to use when I'm not practicing from the tree.
Otherwise, I've never had it clog up, or fail to work. It allows me to aim dead on out to about 35yds. It's dead on at 27yds from the ground, about where I like it.
The biggest advantage, is when that old buck comes by searching for a doe, they rarely allow you time to range him out and fool around. I like it simple, and all I do is aim and shoot. I don't have the skill to make 50yd shots anyway, so it works for me.

I tried the new Savage featherweight this year, too bad for me i took their advice to sight it in at 25 yards and it was suppose to be accurate from tree. The first morning i took it to the stand the 150 class buck i had hunted for all year came strutting down with his nose to the ground. 21 yard I overshot him by 3 inches. Needless to say I blamed the sight, it got twisted off and threw in the brush right where i found my arrow stuck in a dead log. Was it nerves or was it the sight. I choose the sight...lol Happy Hunting

I have the new Savage featherweight also. I didn't take a shot at a deer with it this year but I have shot it may times in practice. It's sighted in at 25 yds and is dead on from 30 feet high out to 30 + yds. It does seem to rattle a bit when I shoot but I don't think it will be too much.
