RE: Which treestand is the most comfortable?
I had an older API Grand Slam Extreme and it was extremely comfortable but no more so than my current stand, a Viper XLS. The API had just a tad bit more room it seemed but not much. I think the Viper is quicker and easier to set up. I would have to pick the Viper over the API since they went bankrupt and are reportedly being made over seas now.
One thing I forgot to mention. It can be hard to stay alert in either one of these stands on warm afternoons!

I have never gotten uncomfortable in my Summit Viper. Have pull a few all-dayers in it. I have the room to move around a lot, but I dont' need to.
I have never used the API.

RE: Which treestand is the most comfortable?
I just made the switch to the Viper. I used to use a newer Loggy Bayou and it was ok, but not a Viper. The last three weeks of archery season, I sit all day in the stand. With the Loggy I could do it, but by about 3 in the afternoon, It was killing me. I just pulled an all dayer in the Viper yesterday and it was a breeze!! I didn' t get standass all day! It very easy to stay comfortable in this stand. The only complaint I have is that there isn' t a lot of elbow room in it. The bars are just a tad too tight, but the Goliath stand remedies that.
All in all, I the Summit stands are excellent and trust me, you will not get uncomfortable in this stand.
