Default MN hunter shoots 9pt with an 8pt stuck to it (picture)

This happened the first weekend of the annual Camp Ripley hunt. I heard about this and I said I wouldn' t believe it until I saw it. Actually what I heard was that a HUGE buck was shot with the antlers head and neck of another deer (no body). hehe, turned out to be a little different but here' s the pic and the story:

I see to remember somebody finding bucks like that in the wild but never one shot by a hunter. Interesting pic.

Smart hunter. he shot the bigger of the two. looks like they' re locked up pretty good. That should be interesting draging.

I have never seen that before, my cousin years ago found the skeletons of 2 big 8 points that had locked up and died once though.

Probably 10-15 years ago I watched a pair of bucks fighting for quite awhile before I decided they must be locked up. I went and got my buddy and we found them about 200 yards from where I had last seen them. Since we both had unused tags we put them out of their misery. One was a 10 the other an 11 point. I had them mounted in a fighting position. It really makes a neat trophy and one that everyone that sees it asks about. They' re not as big as the other deer I have mounted but they do make the most unusal mount I have.

That had to be an expensive mount kansas. Did you flip a coin to claim the bigger deer?
