HOW LONG DO YOU WAIT AFTER HARVESTING A DEER FROM A STAND BEFOR USING THE SAME STAND AGAIN?

bowhunting forum..anyone can shoot two deer in the same day from a gun stand....200 yards one way, 200 yards the other...

It depends, but I have no trouble with hunting a stand the next day if I have' nt turned things up too much. Have had it work many times. Once, I even connected on three deer in three days from the same tree.

I usually like to give 2 or 3 days before hunting the stand again. Unless I was able to recover and remove the deer with very little disruption of the area.

Well lets put it this way, I stuck a doe last year that dropped within sight, I sat down and light a long awaited cigarette and before I was finished another doe came walking right where the first one had and was within 20 feet of the downed deer, she busted me when I was drawing.

i usually give a stand 2 or 3 days. i try to keep my scent down as much as possible and walking around looking for a deer puts out a lot of scent. i give it a few days to dissappear.
