Bowhunting and Cabelas pics....
Sorry for the long delay folks but my digital camera was lost on one of my recent trips to Cabelas. However, they called a week or so back that it was found so I was able to utilize it to take a pic of the doe I took last Saturday. It has been a busy week for me otherwise I would have tried to post it sooner. Definitely not a " Matt/Pa" quality pic but I was not the one taking the picture....
My son Logan and his affinity for pheasants....
A partial of the aquariums......
The big mountain in the middle of the store....
A moose mount that my son seemed to be quite enamored with.....
...and last, but not least...some of the whitetails....
I hope to have some new pics shortly as I have yet to totally figure out how to download them from my digital camcorder....but I did upload a brief " preseason" buck video that I took the week before the season opened if anyone is interested.... Not the best quality though I must admit.
Just thought I would share since I have not been on much lately.

That' s OK Frank........the quality of the picture is directly proportional to the ability of the person behind the viewfinder. If they come out so-so you can always blame the " Other Guy"
That' s not such a bad pic.........just really small.
(I' m going to post a picture that didn' t scan real good myself tonight.....good story behind it)
Oh and by the way...... I spent $393.19 while standing in front of those exact pheasants! []
And the deer display " Whitetail Country" is just awesome. Best I' ve seen.

Thanks Matt. Hopefully I will figure out how to eventually take a pic while I am standing in front of the camera.....
It is funny how you remember the exact amount that you spent. After having been there a half dozen times I can probably guess within $20 of the actual amount......just don' t tell the wife....

Good pics none the less thank for sharing them with us.
I am just about to walk out the door to head over to the Bowtech/ASAT bowhunting lease for 3 days of camping and hunting.
With a bit of luck I will have some stories to tell and some pics to share when I get back.

You poor bast**d,
Having a Cabela' s only 21 miles from your house. I pity you. The child support, the attorney' s fees, counselor sessions. Its not to late, you still have time to move. Keep telling yourself...the family is more important, the family is more important.
You see, I too am a Cabela' s aholic. However it takes somewhat over two hours to reach the one in Kansas City so I' m sort of safe. No doubt, I' d end up working there if I lived closer. They' d pay me in merchandise and my wife would leave me too.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

T in PA2,
Actually, I took some pics of the entrance wound from my Hammerhead but the batteries died in the camera before I could take a picture of exit wound...very impressive. She dressed out at 92 lbs which is about average for what I see in my neck of the woods. I should have sat down behind her so that, perceptually, she would look bigger. ....I am sure my 6' 4" , 230 lb frame makes her look little but she definitely wasn' t a " one hander" ....
JeramyK,
This fall has been great....both in terms of visiting Cabelas on a weekly basis (shhh...) and getting to go out hunting as often as I have been able. No legal bucks in range yet though.
Ausie,
Not the " cheap" little digital camera I have. However, the digital camcorder I just bought does come with its own remote control. I wonder if I could upload a short movie to one of my posts....
Good luck on the hunt.
rcd567,
I hear you my fellow Cabelasaholic. I actually go into overload when I walk into the store as I am unaccustom to having so many things that I want to buy all in the same place at one time....
