wanted to post this again for all that missed it last year
I hope this helps new hunters as well as older hunters. Since the archery season is just around the corner and everyone is out there scouting

You forgot chestnut oaks! I have a little honey hole that has a stand of white oaks. During years these trees produce acorns and start dropping, I'm surrounded by deer. I've even tricked them once or twice by picking up a handful of stones on the road before I went to my stand and put them in my pocket. While on stand I would ocassionally drop one and let it hit the ground simulating dropping acorns.
