What part of the state are y' all from? I was born in Williamson, W.Va. on the Tug River in the southernmost part of the state....Hatfield-McCoy feud country. As a matter of fact, there are a few Hatfields in my family tree. Although I now live near the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, I have many fond memories of my home state. Still have many relatives in West Virginia that I don' t get to see often enough.

Ill be out in Ritchie county on the 20th, cant wait, hope to see more deer than i have so far here in DE. Had a six point come in on the 6th using a doe in heat bleat with a decoy, he didnt offer a shot though and it would have been my first buck

Ready and waiting. Matter of fact, I' m on my way to do some scouting now. My only decision is where to go on opening day (Logan, Lincoln, or Wirt Counties).

one thing is for sure again this year find food and you will find many many deer. I am lucky that I have a lot of apple tree' s around the places where I hunt and the deer are tearing them up I have saw several small bucks but nothing bigger than a 7pt but it looks like hogs are rooting up the ground. Warm or Cold I will be in a tree come Saturday. Good Luck Too all and keep them safety belts on.

Gutshot!!! I' m surprised she has not put you in the dog house yet with that type of behaviour.
Knowing how West Virginia folks value their dogs... she probably figures the dog house would be to good for him. Best room on the property.[][&:]

Under a week!!!!

The tension is killing me, I' m so ready it' s not even funny....as for the weather....weather.com is telling me that it' s going to be a low of 35 and a high of 61....I was really hoping for temps 60 and below. But I can deal with low 60' s I guess. Hopefully the weather will go down fast from here. Week before November...I' m hoping for anything under 60 and nothing above.

I can' t wait........

The countdown is still on...

From what I saw this morning it looks like temps in the 50' s and lows in the low 30' s pretty well perfect.
