Got a nice 10 pt on camera...
We picked up a new farm this fall, so we decided to
put one of our Camtrakkers up and see what we
might get a picture of. After about 10 days we
got several nice bucks on film, including this good
looking 10 pt., which we got a couple pics of. He
doesn' t have a lot of mass, but he' s got some
of the longest browtines I' ve seen[]. This buck
has the potential to be a monster in a year or
two.
The good news is this pic was taken about 50 yards
from one of our stands...the bad news is we' ve
only got two stands on this farm. We probably
won' t hunt here much, as our other farms have
already been prepared with numerous stand sites.
If this farm produces more buck pics like this one,
we might have to change the game plan.

He' s real nice. It' s funny listening to you guys talk about him being a monster next year...Next year!!! Around these parts he is a monster this year. Sometimes I' m jealous of you midwesterners. Back here in PA that buck would be considered a trophy. My hope is that with our states new antler regulations I will get to see more quality deer like the picture of the " little guy" you have shared with us. Is that a drop tine on the right side of the rack? Maybe just a sticker point?

Jimimac, what your' re seeing on the right side of his
rack is just a straight on view of his last two points
or " crab claw" . Unless the picture is just ' perfect'
it' s difficult to see the small details of a rack here
on the computer, whereas I can see them while
looking at the actual photo.
You are right, here in the midwest, we have some
great whitetails. This is definitely not a ' dink' by any
means. I seriously doubt few hunters would pass
on him. However, I imagine he' s probably a 3 1/2
yr. old, with the extra year or two I imagine he' ll
be a B&C class buck.
