One question. Does your club practice trophy management? The reason I ask is , if that first buck was big enough that you thought it was a big doe and it only had a nub , it could be considered a " management" deer that should be removed. It would be a good question to ask in case you get another opportunity.

Bowfanatic, we do have a trophy management program, but it does not include spikes, mainly b/c it' s against state law. The deer I saw was approx. 120-130 lbs, should have had more headgear than that. We do shoot " cull" bucks, but they must be 7 pt or less, be over 185 lbs and have 18 inch main beams, he must meet 2 of those categories.
