Default whats in your quiver?

Was out on the weekend doing some final tuning with a few buddies before archery season kicks off on wed. They in theyre great wisdom noticed the broadheads I was using on 6 hunting arrows were of 2 different makes. They started giving me grief over it,, saying you cant do that!! they wont fly the same as each other. I proceeded to put every arrow within 2" of my aim point out to 35 yards. Then they agreed I could do that!

Does everyone have a quiver full of the same broadheads,, or a mix and match of good shooting arrows all hitting at the same point of aim? who cares what broadheads are on them,, as long as they fly straight?

I have 6 XX78 2514 shafts cut to 31" . 5 of them have Thunderhead 100 broadheads on them. The last shaft has a 125 grain Satellite 4 blade head that I cut two of the blades so they are prongs. Cutting the blades reduced the overall weight to just barely above 100 grains. I reserve that one for any turkey that is unlucky enough to pass the stand.

I put 3 5-blade innerloc and 3 muzzy 4-blade heads in my quiver. I practice with both, and they all impact the same exact spot at 30 yards (my limit with whitetails).

They started giving me grief over it,, saying you cant do that!! they wont fly the same as each other.
I think that a bunch of bull, especially since you have proven to yourself that they do.

100 gr steel force premiums on XX78 2314 shafts. I would make sure that those different heads flew the same at all distances before I would mix and match.

Regardless of whether they hit the same, I' m curious as to why you just don' t pick one style and shoot that one?

Well, I' d say that in my case, I have never used the innerloc before, I have used the muzzy. I guess the reason that I carry both can not be explained logically. I' ll problably have both of them nocked at some point in the season (not both goofy ).

When your paying upwards of $60 for 3 broadheads,, you do not just toss away the ones you already have.
