RE: whats in your quiver?
I' ve got two sets of arrows in my quiver just for kicks and giggles. The first set consists of 620 grain ash arrows tipped with 130 grain broadheads. I' m hoping to take a deer with these arrows because I made the broadheads myself from circular saw blades, which I hafted to the shafts with steel wire.
The second set is composed of my big gun heavies...775 grain purpleheart arrows tipped with 215 grain Ace Archery broadheads. These broadheads look like someone pounded a spade shovel flat and mounted it on the end of spear. I' m just dying to see what they can do.
To 15 yds, they both fly the same. The heavy guns drop only slightly to 20, and I don' t intend to use them beyond that.

Again this year - I' ll hunt with Rocky MTN Snypers but I still carry a couple 100 gr thunderheads for turkey (i don' t want to risk messing up my deer hunting heads on a bird!). Often times, turkeys offer me a shot and both seasons are open the whole time.
