Default What left this behind ?

[]Ok,,this questions WAY off the wall,,but I told a friend at work I would try to find an answer. Here goes; What animal left/created these droppings ?,,They are 2" to 2 1/2" long, about 1/2" to 3/4" in dia...Very dark, almost black in color. They also contain MANY pieces of beatles,,NOT the band,,the bug.Mostly their back shell covers,,the ones that cover up the wings, when not in flight.
Any clue ?????[]

Armidillo,,,,Not in New York,,,,we get alitlle tooo much SNOW for them.I was thinking maybe a skunk,,not sure. What had me guessing was a friend a work who had mentioned finding these kind of dropings in his garage.I have seen them once or twice in my yard,,and many times in the woods.
I think I' ll tell him he has an armidillo hidding in his garage. He' ll like that[]

I have a large toad that frequents my front porch that leaves me little presents like that. His are generaly just under 2" tho. Real black and the fresh ones are greesy looking with lots of bug parts. He only drops one per squat tho.[X(]
