The Black Max has an IBO speed of 330 f.p.s. It was dubbed " the fastest bow" by someone who did an independant study of bows.

The BowTech Extreme VFT IBO' s at 333 f.p.s.

The BowTech Patriot Dually IBO' s at 340 f.p.s.

And the fastest out there is the BowTech BK II which IBO' s at 350 f.p.s.

Speed only ...no brace height comparisons :

If you walked into a shop and shot a Bowtech Blk Knight2 and a Mathews Black Max2 set up identically, I personally feel the Blk Knight will win everytime. But I don' t think it' s been proven in a test that Mathews would admit to !!

And if you have the hush kit on the BK2 and shot the BM2 with no silencers(just relying on the string surpressors) the margin would tighten up and I think you would only be talking a few fps difference !!

Come on BM..........I know your a huge Bowtech guy.......but........

Those are the highest ratings for those VFT bows.........after all the posts on here it' s been pretty clear that those bows are chronographing in the lower ranges !!
And the Black Max 2 is rated at 330(+).......from posts I have seen and people I' ve talked to the BM2 is really getting more like 338-340 fps IBO !!

One of the bow techs at a shop here in GA, said at the AMO show, the BM2 beat the BK2 when shot side by side. This was done at the show with no additions to either bow. Had a rest and nock point. Just what I heard.

The new High Country line up has the fatest bows I have ever seen. All you have to do is shoot the High Country brand arrow' s and they will warrenty the bow. The blister at like 420fps.

The Matthews Black Max is also a fast bow.

Anyone who has seen the new line up of High Country bows have seen the new carbon limbs, risers, and arrows....and they all add up to 400+fps. So that pidly 350 is nothing compared to the new High Country' s.
